ITINERARY
5.45am: Meet at reception of Paddys Palace Hostel (5 Beresford Place, Lr. Gardiner St, Dublin. 1 minute away from Busaras and opposite the Historic Custom House, tel:+353 1 8881756)
The receptionist will bring you to Busaras where you will join the 6am Bus Eireann coach to Belfast.
6am: Depart for Belfast
8.30: Your charming Paddywagon Northern Ireland guide will meet you as you get off the bus and will transfer you to the waiting bright green, luxury Paddywagon Coach.
8.30am: Leave Belfast and we’ll drive through the rolling farmland of County Antrim to the North Coast of Ulster.
10am: Arrive at the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, hike/walk to this visual masterpiece, consider crossing for a small nominal fee (optional)
11.30am: Visit the Giants Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Sight. Learn of the geology but also of the legendary Giants who built the Causeway in Celtic days gone by.
1pm: Arrive in Historic Derry, known as Londonderry to Ulster’s British community. Savour the delights of this wonderful City or maybe take an optional guided tour of the 16th Century Walls (scene of the great siege of 1689). Your Paddywagon Guide will show you the world famous political murals and explain the Bloody Sunday tragedy (1972) to you.
Find somewhere relaxing for a hearty lunch and then take the short transfer (1hour 45mins) back to Belfast via the splendid Sperrin mountains.
5.30pm: Back in Belfast
6pm: Rejoin the Bus Eireann bus and depart for Dublin.
8.30pm: Arrive back in beautiful Dublin after a truly amazing day of fun travel and learning.
